Right Wing Women and more events at Womb House Books
Please join us for a discussion on Andrea Dworkin's Right Wing Women, Feminism in the Wild with author Ambika Kamath, and our March Book Club
We are thrilled to welcome the brilliant feminist writer Moira Donegan to Womb House Books this Saturday to discuss Andrea Dworkin’s Right Wing Women. We will discuss Dworkin’s exacting prescience with this book, originally published in 1983 and brought back into print by Picador, along with her two previous books, Woman Hating and Pornography, all available at Womb House Books.
Next Thursday, March 13th we are blessed to welcome the co-author of Feminism in the Wild, Ambika Kamath to Womb House Books. We will discuss this mind-blowing book which disrupts assumptions grounded in heteropatriarchy on animal behavior, evolution, and general science. Feminism in the Wild is available at Womb House Books.
We are excited to announce Sarah Chihaya’s memoir Bibliophobia as our WHB March Book Club pick. Confronting a nervous collapse, Chihaya writes: “Reader, it was the books that did it. They were everywhere. There was no space without them, no place in my home where I could rest my eyes or my brain.” Chihaya also discusses books that she calls “life-ruiners.” Hers is Toni Morrison’s The Bluest Eye.
Please join us in shop on Wednesday, March 26th at 6:30pm PST (the meeting will also be join-able online through zoom, registration required) to discuss Bibliophobia and the book that ruined your life!
